Ok, geek out but this is so commie-community-cool. Syracuse has a lot of literacy services...and a fantastic library system. Put 'em together and what have you got? A concept called "CNY Reads One Book".
And the 2012 Selection is...The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

CNY Reads One Book is excited to announce that The Book Thief, by Marcus Zusak, has been chosen as the 2012 book selection.
Everyone in the community is encouraged to read The Book Thief during the months of January, February and March.

Programs related to the book will be offered throughout the area.
